    Description

This is one of about 300 photos I bought from a dealer that bought out of the Rue estate. When these are sold it will be the last of his estate collection of original photographs. The collection I purchased included family photos of the renowned artist, some of his studio, about 200 studies he used for paintings, and numerous negatives of the photos he took from the 1940s into the 1960s. Rue was a noted photographer and muralist and studied at Yale. He died in 1991. This is an original printed by him and is about 8.5" x 10". Rue had very special gifts in arts and capturing this past way of life and his photos show that.
