    Description

    Original used World War II United States Army Air Forces 113th AAF Base Unit (CCTS-H) 1st Air Force Charleston Army Air Field B-17 Bomber Crew training book.  Hardcover book has both the 1st Air Force, and 113th AAF Base Unit patches on the cover.  Book has 144 pages covering the base, sports, aircrews in training with lots of photos and some text.  The base had a rescue boat unit, a squadron of WAC's, an African American / Black squadron (see photos), and images of each bomber training crew as at this point they were trained as crews.  The book is circa 1943 to 1944 as the biography of the Commanding General lists accolades up to 1943.  Book measures 9.25x12.25 inches and is in excellent used condition with some light corner wear / bumping and overall very light wear (please see photos for the best description).  Nice book for a collection or display.  Seller does combine shipping on items.  US buyer pays shipping and handling via First Class Mail parcel with tracking and International Buyers pay shipping and handling based upon an 8 ounce package via International First Class Mail Package service.  Please see my other auctions for more WWII patches, pins, and other military items and e-mail me any questions.
