NR-MT Roberto Clemente vintage Hillerich & Bradsby H&B mini baseball bat Pirates

$ 26.39

Availability: 94 in stock
  • Condition: NR-MT condition overall. Not cracked, smooth wood with nice deep readable stamping. There is some darkening on part of the wood on the side and bottom, which I took pictures of. I could be wrong, but I think it was part of the original wood. It does add to the uniqueness of the bat as well. See pictures.

    Description

    This auction is for a NR-MT vintage Roberto Clemente 16" mini baseball bat model 125 that is a Louisville Slugger and from the time period when the H&B or Hillerich & Bradsby logo was still being used on the bats (for regular bats this was prior to 1980 and I'm assuming the switch on mini bats was around the same time). Most of Clemente bats would have the H&B logo since he tragically passed in 1972.

    Roberto Clemente played 18 seasons (1955-1972) in the Major Leagues all with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He tragically died on New Years eve (12/31/72) while on an airplane that crashed carrying food relief to hurricane victims in Nicaragua.  He was a right fielder. Robinson was inducted in the MLB Hall of Fame in 1973 after MLB allowed his early entry due to his death. He was a 15 time All-Star. He was on the Pirates 1960 and 1971 World Series championship teams and he was the MVP of the 1971 Series. He was the 1966 NL MVP and won 15 Gold Glove awards. He was a 4 time NL batting champion. He ended up with 3,000 hits, 240 homers and a .317 career batting average.
    I have numerous other vintage H&B era 16" mini baseball bats on auctions on eBay this week. I enjoy multiple orders and if you win more than one bat, I will adjust the shipping to account for the combined shipping or issue you a refund if you pay for the bats in advance of receiving a combined invoice.
    I prefer USPS Priority Mail even though it cost a bit more than the Ground Advantage shipping.
