Girey Camp Claiborne Louisiana Compact
Here's a vintage Girey compact from the World War II era.  Gray with a hint of pink pearlized surface with small gold, red, white and blue USA symbol and "Camp Claiborne, LA."  These little compacts were made as gifts for soldiers' sweethearts.  Measures approximately 3-1/4" x 1-3/4" x 3/8". Comes in its original box with a small note "A Friend."
A button opens the compact to reveal a bevel-edged mirror, compartments for powder and rouge (includes rouge; no face powder) and two little powder puffs.  There is a small tube that slides in at the top to hold lipstick (red lipstick included).
Condition: The silver-tone coating on the left side of the surface is worn (see photos); minor wear to mirror silvering; otherwise the little compact is in excellent clean unused condition.
