Up for sale today is this Vintage 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series Black Presentation Louisville Baseball Bat. Classic presentation black bat as issued annually by Louisville Slugger to members and affiliates of the World Series Champions. Baseball bat is in very good condition. Full size bat displays facsimile signature and block letter names in gilt impressed lettering of the Pirates players including Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Steve Blass, Manny Sanguillen, Bill Mazeroski, Richie Hebner, Bob Robertson, Al Oliver, Dave Cash, Bill Virdon, Doc Ellis, Jose Pagan, Milt May, Gene Alley, and Manager Danny Murtaugh. These bats were produced from 1934-98. They were given to players, coaches, team executives, and baseball dignitaries. This bat was purchased from the estate of Joel Chandy that our 1971 Pirates World Series came from (also listed on eBay). Joel was a former played who suffered a career ending ankle injury and went on to be a Public Relations Manager for the Pirates.
