1893 COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR SILVERPLATE HEART SHAPED BOX

Description

Up for auction is this great 1893 Columbian Exposition/Chicago World's Fair silver plated heart shaped lidded box.  The piece has leaf and flower designs on the lid with "WORLD'S FAIR 1893".  The outer circumference has reticulated open weave Art Nouveau designs.  The bottom has three ball feet.  The hinge is brass.  The box measures about 5 1/4 inches X 4 1/2 inches and 1 5/8 inches high.  Fully marked on the bottom with the "OSBORNE CO. WARRENTED QUADRUPLE PLATE LANCASTER, PA. 40" logo.    In nice condition with an excellent antique age patina!  A great and hard to find piece in nice shape offered with NO RESERVE!!
